Writing

My brother Johnny writes books about the history and meaning of the holy Eucharist in the Catholic faith.

I write a blog about mowing the grass and poop-eating dogs.

Maybe I really am still the Baby of the family ...

It takes talent on both ends of the spectrum to make the world go round. On the one end, we've got authors like Johnny writing intricate and detailed information about the Catholic Church, using huge words like "transubstantiation" and "apologetics." Then we have the other end using words like "poop" and "thingamajig." It takes both sides to hold the see saw of life in balance, "Young Grasshopper." But we on the other end have our own tales to tell. I write about my kids wiping their noses on my shirts, conducting experiments like how long they can wear the same pair of socks (that would be Stephen -- 21 straight days in a row -- he reeked), how long they can keep a Halloween pumpkin hidden away from Mom in their closet (that would, again, be Stephen, and the record is April 15) and the fact that my kids have actually lit a match using flatulence as the ignition source. Now, I ask you, guess who's about 10 feet behind you on that see-saw, with her big fat butt right on the ground, balancing out the brainiacs in our family! That would be me, bro! Besides, you're the only person I know who can quote from Aristotle, H.P. Lovecraft, Steve Jobs, Spiderman, Orson Wells, Sean Connery and Stan Lee, all in the same conversation. You're a Renaissance Man! Then again, Stephen is your godson...

Does it give meaning to know that the link to your blog is saved under "Dogs/Rescue" in my Favorites?

Yes, it does, and I thank you for telling me that! That means a lot, honestly.
